If someone were to approach me and say “Keith, give me ten reasons why I should chant OM every morning”, I would stop to reflect for a moment.

Then I would tell them these ten reasons:

One. OM is the Original Manifestation of Divine Spirit, according to the Himalayan Yogis.

Two. OM is purely transcendental, yet can be experienced in meditation, silence, and stillness.

Three. OM contains all masculine divinity (all male spiritual masters and gods).

Four. OM contains all feminine divinity (all female spiritual masters and goddesses).

Five. OM symbolizes all creative processes.

Six. OM symbolizes all dissolution processes.

Seven. OM symbolizes Eternal Rest, Eternal Peace, Eternal Being, and Eternal Presence.

Eight. OM symbolizes the entire past, entire present, and entire future.

Nine. OM symbolizes all aspects of the Tao (Divine Yin and Divine Yang).

Ten. OM is the very essence of all people and names and forms of all kinds.
